Chamber musician, cultural administrator, recitalist, and pedagogue Jose García Taborda is an active artist in Latin America, the United States, Europe, and Asia, appearing periodically in Panama, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Mexico, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Malaysia, Singapore, China, Spain, and the United States. He has been a visiting professor of clarinet, pedagogy, and chamber music at different institutions in the United States and Latin America. He was a professor at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University School of the Arts,
the Madison Conservatory of Music, the University Fundation of Bellas Artes, and EAFIT University.

In 2012 his professional activity was recognized by the Colombian newspaper as “One of the most outstanding professionals of his generation” in 2015, The Clarinet Magazine (USA) praised the work of maestro García Taborda as “An excellent clarinetist and interpreter ” in 2016 he is recognized as a “Cultural Ambassador” by the Brooklyn Borough President in New York. He is currently a professor, guest pedagogical advisor, and general coordinator of the Resonante international festival at the Ibero-American Academy Iberacademy. Guest professor by OAcademy for Ismea in Mexico. In addition to continuing his chamber music activity as a member of the Underground Chamber Collective (USA), the Orduz-García duo (Colombia), and trasTrío ensemble, among other solo projects.
García Taborda is an exclusive artist for Yamaha USA, BG France and Légère Canada.
