The Song of the Earth
The main theme of the 17th edition of the Cartagena Music Festival will be ‘The Song of the Earth: Music Between Nationalism and Cosmopolitanism in the 19th Century’. It will explore a repertoire in which composers of several European countries introduced traditional and folkloric elements into their musical creations. There will also be a special cycle dedicated to Colombian chamber music composers.

Concerts
The Prague Chamber Orchestra will be the resident orchestra of this Festival. Besides this ensemble, significant quartets and soloists will star in this fascinating journey through the music of Tchaikovsky, Dvorak, Enescu, Liszt, Bartok, and Chopin, among others.

Educational Programs
One of the most fundamental components of the Cartagena Music Festival is its academic and social programs, happening in parallel to the artistic performances with master classes, lutherie workshops, and many more activities.
